About Justice League Alliance

The Justice League Alliance (JLA) was formed to allow better communication between smaller kinships and individuals that shared common goals and viewpoints so that they may run instances and raids in non-PUG groups, while at the same time maintaining the freedom to stay in his/her own kinship. Being an alliance of kinships, we decided to call the alliance the Justice League Alliance after the DC Comics league of superheroes.

The benefits of this alliance are many, even if the benefits are simple.

First, it allows smaller kinships to regularly and consistently do end-game raids, that are otherwise closed to smaller kinships, without having to form/join a large kinship or run the raids/instances in PUGs, both of which may be unfavorable or difficult for some individuals.

The other main benefit is two-fold. Kinships are mostly focused on certain parts of the game - role-playing, raiding, and PvMP are a few examples. Most kinships cannot focus on everything, since it usually does not work well, either because the kinship is not large enough to support both RP players and raiding players, or the play styles of two groups don't "mesh" well, even if everyone gets along. This alliance does not restrict kinships to be of any certain type - we accept RP kinships, raiding kinships, and just casual "group-of-friends" kinships. What the alliance does is allows members of raiding kinships who have some interest in RP to join RP events hosted by the RP kinships. The members of RP kinships who wish to raid are able to join some raiding events hosted by the raiding kinships. In effect, this meshes the many different play styles into one large kinship - without having to create an actual kinship.

The last benefit is also one of the best - you get to meet some amazing people and interesting personalities.

The idea behind JLA (and AFP to some extent) is that it is better to bring a few smaller kinships together through an alliance than to try to bring everyone under one banner. Some people prefer smaller kinships; the feel, the family-like style, etc. It allows people to keep their personality, so to speak, while still giving access to a wide range of players with whom to play and have some fun.

At present, the JLA mainly consists of Allies of the Free Peoples, The Crafting Union, Highguard of Numenor, and Emissaries of the Blessed Realm, but also includes other individuals and kinships.

JLA uses Allies of the Free Peoples Vent server as the offical voice communication for raids and instances. There is also an in-game custom chat channel that is used for most, if not nearly all, of the communication between alliance members and kinships. If you (as an individual or kinship) are interested in joining this alliance system, please contact Alvirhelm here, post in the forums here, or contact Alvirhelm in-game.

New Raiding Schedule!

by Alvirhelm, 749 days ago

The new raid schedule is as follows:

Sunday starting at 8pm EST - Rift/Helegrod/Old Instances
Monday/Thursday starting at 10pm EST - Watcher run(s), usually 2 or 3 runs each night, followed by any number of turtle runs
Tue/Wed starting at 9pm EST- BG runs
Friday starting at 9pm EST - DN run
Saturday starting at 9pm EST - Possible second DN runs.

In the event that DN is split into two nights, the day after we will finish it up. This could happen at 4pm EST or at 9pm EST, depending on who all can show up at each time (will vary by week). The 4pm starting time is to allow time to attempt a second DN run during the night.

The calendar has been updated to reflect these changes. Any questions? Let me know!
